When Ignacio Camarillo General Contractor was created, it started working on small and medium size remodeling projects. Over time the project types have become larger in size, but small projects are still within the reach of our business. All of the jobs are completed with the same detail and care to reach customer satisfaction beyond our competetors.
The founder and owner of ICGC, Ignacio Camarillo is a California licensed General Contractor with over 20 years of residential construction experience. Ignacio, being the Director, has worked closely with designers, architects, engineers and home owners providing valuable advice on building procedures, construction feasibility of aesthetic elements and advice in the design process in order to achieve the best results for every project. He prides himself on being intimately involved in every detail of a job, a rarity for a general contractor.
A key element to Ignacio’s success is maintaining a carefully planned work schedule for every project to insure a project is delivered on time. His diverse design background coupled with his construction experience makes inter-disciplinary communication between owners, designers, architects, engineers, and his crew efficient. He has his own crew as well as a great sub-contractor team that allows him to manage a project of any size. His education includes the completion of the first year of architecture school at La Salle University in Mexico City. Ignacio also earned lighting design credentials in Mexico City enabling him the opportunity to design and develop residential and commercial lighting projects. His brief formal education is complemented by his deep experience in the design-build industry. He has experience as a drafter, a project manager, a field construction supervisor for small to medium sized residential & commercial projects, and hands on field work on rough & finish carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, drywall, tape/mud, painting and tile work, before starting his own company.
Ignacio lives with his wife of 35 years, Vicky in San Rafael, Ca. Vicky is his biggest support system in business as well as life. He has two sons. Edgar, 34, is completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Edgar contributes on Estimating, Project management, drafting and field work as needed. Diego, 29, has completed Santa Rosa Junior College with an AA in Business Administration. Diego works closely with Vicky at the office in the accounting/administration side as well as supporting the operations of the company and field work when necessary.
